If you knew the full story behind Bella and Molly, you too would understand why our mission is to find a perfect home for them.
It began as an investigation by the Humane Society of Lackawanna County
(see PAW PRINTS 2005 newsletter)
Fate changed for Bella and Molly because of a wonderful family, who adopted
not just Molly (the pup), but her mom (Bella) as well.
(see March 2005 newspaper story)
Unfortunately, after 5 years, the parents moved into a new housing situation
that didn't allow dogs. As much as they tried, the family couldn't find a
new home for Bella and Molly, until Pet Guardians offered to help in the
fall of 2010.
Pet Guardians found a new home for Bella and Molly, but unfortunately, after
48 hours, the adoption fell through.
The girls next went to a Pet Guardians foster home, but after 1 week, Bella
and Molly proved to be too much lab for the foster family's dog, and
returned to Pet Guardians.
After searching for "another" perfect home, Pet Guardians found a couple who wanted both girls...together! Everything seemed ideal, until they tried to play with the family cat (who was afraid of Bella and Molly)...another failed adoption, and the ladies came back home to Pet Guardians.
Molly has just graduated from the HOPE program (Hounds of Prison Education),
and went to a new home (without bars, barbed wire, and security guards!)
Bella is living with Pet Guardians until a truly understanding person or
family will open their heart to this beautiful girl.
Applications are now being accepted for Bella through Pet Guardians, but ONLY sincere and special applicants need apply.
